Role Overview
Cogniter Technologies is seeking a skilled and analytical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business objectives and technology solutions. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders and technical teams to understand organizational goals and translate them into clear, well-defined functional and non-functional requirements within the existing technology ecosystem.
You will play a key role across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring that solutions and deliverables align with business needs, technical standards, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business requirements into clear system specifications and comprehensive technical documentation for development teams.
- Create and maintain project artifacts such as use case diagrams, process flows, activity diagrams, wireframes, and dependency matrices.
- Provide effort estimations, timelines, and cost analysis based on project scope and complexity.
- Act as a liaison between development teams, US-based project managers, and clients to ensure seamless communication and alignment.
- Work closely with QA teams to define test scenarios, validation criteria, and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle to ensure accurate and successful delivery.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements and optimization initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc. (IT), or B.Tech with a minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Experience working on .NET-based applications in a Business Analyst role.
- Hands-on experience in gathering and documenting reporting and analytics requirements.
- Background in software or product development within a structured enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of business process analysis, requirement modeling, and system design principles.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
