About the Role
Cogniter Technologies is looking for a Manual Tester / QA Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to join our QA team. In this role, you will analyze requirements, design and execute test cases, and ensure delivery of high-quality, bug-free solutions. You’ll work closely with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze project requirement documents for accuracy and completeness

Collaborate with Project Managers and Developers to define scope and testing requirements

Design, document, and execute detailed test cases and scenarios

Track client feedback and ensure timely implementation of changes

Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing

Report, document, and track bugs/issues using bug-tracking tools

Validate reports prepared by junior testers and provide guidance when needed

Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines

Follow and enhance QA processes to support continuous improvement
Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

2–5 years of proven experience as a Manual Tester / QA Engineer

Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA processes

Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and bug reports

Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Bugzilla)

Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple projects effectively

Knowledge of basic SQL queries for data validation (preferred)
