  Job Title: Network & Systems Administrator

  Position Overview:

   

  We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network & Systems Administrator to join our team in Chandigarh. In this role, you will manage and maintain the network and system infrastructure to ensure the security, performance, and availability of our services. You will be responsible for providing 24/7 support for all network and system-related issues, utilizing your expertise in network management, systems administration, and security practices.

  Key Responsibilities:

   

  • Software/Hardware/Network Management:

    • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot software, hardware, and network systems to ensure smooth operations.
    • Monitor network performance, identify potential issues, and implement improvements for reliability and efficiency.

  • Operating Systems Management:

    • Manage and optimize Windows OS systems, resolving any OS-related issues that affect system or network functionality.

  • Networking Expertise:

    • Strong knowledge of the OSI Layer Model, TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, and VLANs.
    • Expertise in LAN configuration, IP addressing, and subnetting to ensure network efficiency.

  • Network Devices Management:

    • Configure and maintain servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points to ensure reliable and secure network connectivity.

  • Networking Services:

    • Configure and manage DNS, DHCP, and web servers (Apache, IIS) to support the organization’s infrastructure.

  • Email & Security Management:

    • Oversee email systems, manage anti-spam solutions, and maintain virus protection systems to ensure secure communication.

  • Network Security:

    • Implement and manage VPN configurations, firewall setups, and other security protocols to safeguard the network against external threats.

  • VoIP Support:

    • Maintain and support VoIP services, ensuring stable voice communication across the network.

  • Application Hosting:

    • Support the hosting of internet/intranet applications, ensuring uptime and continuous monitoring to resolve issues.

  • Database Management:

    • Administer and support MySQL and SQL Server databases to ensure high availability, proper backups, and optimal performance.

  • Backup & Recovery Solutions:

    • Design, implement, and test comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategies to guarantee business continuity.

  • 24/7 Support:

    • Provide round-the-clock support for network and system issues, ensuring quick resolution to minimize downtime.

  • Communication:

    • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on network activities, ensuring transparency regarding incidents and changes.

  • Documentation:

    • Maintain up-to-date network configuration documentation, troubleshooting guides, and process documentation for operational continuity.

  Qualifications:

   

  • Experience:

    • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Network & Systems Administrator, supporting network and system infrastructure in a professional setting.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in managing Windows OS, routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
    • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, and network protocols.
    • Experience with DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and web hosting services (Apache, IIS).
    • Knowledge of MySQL and SQL Server database management.

  • Security Expertise:

    • Experience in implementing and managing security tools such as firewalls, anti-virus, anti-spam systems, and VPNs.

  • VoIP Experience:

    • Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining VoIP systems for telecommunication support.

  • Backup & Disaster Recovery:

    • Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity.

  • Communication Skills:

    • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical team members.

  • Adaptability & Multi-tasking:

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  Preferred Skills:

   

  • Certifications:

    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or other networking-related certifications.
    • CompTIA Network+ or Security+ certification.
    • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or similar certifications.

  • Software Proficiency:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.

  • Web Hosting:

    • Experience with hosting and supporting web services (Apache, IIS) is a plus.

  • Cloud Technologies:

    • Familiarity with cloud-based hosting or cloud network configuration is an advantage.
