  About the Role

   

  Cogniter Technologies is looking for a detail-oriented Manual Tester / QA Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing project requirements, designing and executing comprehensive test cases, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and bug-free software solutions.

  You will collaborate closely with project managers, developers, and stakeholders to maintain product quality and contribute to successful project delivery.

  Key Responsibilities

   

  • Review and analyze project requirement documents to ensure clarity, accuracy, and completeness.

  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Development teams to define testing scope and requirements.

  • Design, document, and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.

  • Track and manage client feedback and ensure timely implementation of required changes.

  • Perform various testing activities including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

  • Identify, document, and track defects and issues using bug-tracking tools.

  • Review reports prepared by junior QA testers and provide guidance when necessary.

  • Manage multiple testing assignments while meeting project deadlines.

  • Follow and improve QA processes and standards to support continuous quality improvement.

  Required Skills & Qualifications

   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 2–5 years of experience as a Manual Tester / QA Engineer.

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.

  • Ability to write clear, detailed, and structured test cases and bug reports.

  • Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Trello, Bugzilla, or similar platforms.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

  • Knowledge of basic SQL queries for data validation (preferred).
