  Job Overview

   

  Cogniter Technologies is looking for a detail-oriented and passionate QA / Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing web and mobile applications, identifying bugs, ensuring product quality, and collaborating closely with developers and project managers to deliver high-quality software solutions. The role includes both manual and automation testing responsibilities.

  Key Responsibilities

   

  • Perform manual and automation testing of web and mobile applications.
  • Prepare and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
  • Identify, report, and track bugs using bug-tracking tools.
  • Conduct functional, regression, smoke, usability, and automation testing.
  • Develop and maintain automation test scripts.
  • Collaborate with developers to resolve issues effectively.
  • Verify fixes and ensure product quality before deployment.
  • Maintain proper testing documentation and reports.
  • Ensure applications meet business and user requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of QA processes and testing strategies.

  Required Skills

   

  • Basic understanding of Software Testing concepts and SDLC/STLC.
  • Knowledge of Manual and Automation Testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with bug-tracking and project management tools.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  Preferred Qualifications

   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Experience in testing web and mobile applications is preferred.
  • Knowledge of API testing and automation frameworks will be an added advantage.
  • Basic understanding of scripting/programming languages is a plus.
