  About the Role

   

  Cogniter Technologies is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (.NET) to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Microsoft technologies and a passion for building secure, scalable, and high-performing web applications.

  You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative software solutions.

  Key Responsibilities

   

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain web and enterprise applications using Microsoft technologies.

  • Build robust applications using ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, and SQL Server.

  • Analyze functional requirements and convert them into efficient technical solutions.

  • Participate in application architecture, system design, and database design.

  • Develop and integrate REST APIs, web services, and third-party solutions.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, optimize, and enhance application performance.

  • Conduct code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, QA teams, and clients throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.

  Required Skills

   

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in .NET application development.

  • Strong expertise in:

    • C#

    • ASP.NET

    • ASP.NET MVC

    • .NET Framework/.NET Core

    • SQL Server

  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and design patterns.

  • Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.

  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.

  • Experience with Git or other version control systems.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

  Preferred Skills

   

  • Experience with Angular, React, or Vue.js.

  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure or AWS.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

  • Experience with Entity Framework or ORM technologies.

  • Understanding of application security and performance optimization.

  • Experience with third-party API integrations and cloud-based applications.
